SCRAB I
Its compact size makes the SCRAB I the best choice for portable units when mobility is indispensable.
The complete system can be transported by a medium-sized vehicle and deployed in less than 30 minutes. The system can also be operated on board ships for marine exercises. In fact, the main components are protected by a standard IP-67 level.
The motorization is based on a single jet engine with autonomous start up procedure offering maximum simplicity and reliability. This kind of motorization allows for speed and flight capacities unreachable for traditional engines such as high speed performances and ceiling. In addition, the use of standard aviation fuel simplifies provisioning for final users.
The state of the art autopilot allows for an accurate and reliable full automatic flight plan, from take off to recovery with data link range of more than 100 kms. With a single Ground Control Station an operator can control up to 4 aircrafts simultaneously. Since it is possible to add as many GCSs as needed, the max number of aircrafts that can be used at the same time for multi UAV operations is almost unlimited.
A wide range of payloads are available to cover any exercise requirements. Among them you can find the Radar-Altimeter for Sea Skimming exercises as well as visuals, IR and radar enhancement devices.
